Goals of circumcision
What is circumcision done for boys and men?
Currently, circumcision for religious purposes is carried out most often among Jews and Muslims. For them, this procedure is a symbol of the sacred union on the body. Circumcision is a commandment for the Jewish people when a person enters into union with God.
It is believed that the body is a shell of the soul, and each organ corresponds to a particular part of the soul. The foreskin is a shell denoting an obstacle. It covers the organ responsible for childbirth. It corresponds to the shell of the soul, which does not allow to act in accordance with the will of God.
By cutting off the foreskin, the Muslim removes the uncircumcised heart. That is, a person detaches himself from love only for material things and approaches love for the Divine.
Hygiene and medicine
In the United States, most men are circumcised for non-religious reasons. And in African and Asian countries, it is believed that circumcision is a requirement of hygiene. Under the foreskin, there is a constant accumulation of smegma, which contributes to the reproduction and development of bacteria there. It turns out that circumcision provides better maintenance of the cleanliness of the penis. They note that circumcised men are much less likely to become infected with syphilis and gonorrhea. But let's not forget that an uncircumcised man, while keeping the genitals clean, can just as well protect against various diseases.
From a medical point of view, circumcision is also considered a useful operation. The fact is that the foreskin contains certain cells that are removed along with it. And with their elimination the susceptibility to AIDS decreases 6 times. In addition, the probability of catching some sexually transmitted diseases is reduced.
Regulation of sexuality
After circumcision, the sensitivity of the penis decreases, and accordingly, the duration of sexual intercourse increases. This is due to the fact that during the circumcision the nerves of the penis are injured.
But do not forget that the majority of men with circumcision do not want to have sex with a condom, because they no longer enjoy it. In this case, you need to find other methods of contraception.
Opponents of circumcision in the male flesh argue their opinion with the following arguments:
- The foreskin is given to a man from birth. Why remove what is provided by nature?
- Circumcision of the foreskin makes the head of the penis dry, as it loses coverage and lubrication. Namely, a large number of nerve endings are concentrated on it, which gives the man the greatest pleasure.
- After circumcision, a man may not feel the most pleasant sensations due to friction of the head of the penis on the linen.
